I’m excited to share that Switch Equine was featured in a two‑part article in Happy Tracking Magazine earlier this year.

The pieces explored a subject that’s central to my work: the environmental impacts of track system design. While tracks can bring huge benefits for horse welfare — encouraging movement, reducing laminitis risk, and supporting natural behaviours — if they’re not carefully planned, they can create unintended pressures on soils, watercourses, and biodiversity.

In the articles, I discussed:

  • Why track design needs to consider environmental context, not just equine welfare.
  • The potential risks of poorly placed or constructed tracks.
  • Practical tips for more sustainable track systems.

If you haven’t seen it yet, grab a copy of Happy Tracking Magazine to read the full two‑part article. It’s a great resource for anyone interested in equine management and sustainability.
